- Reporter Contact: Email address (required), phone number, name, and relation to the detainee. This information is kept private and only used to verify reports.
- Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and profile picture from Google OAuth.
- Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymized, aggregated data about page views. No cookies are used for analytics.
- Audit Logs: We log actions taken on reports for moderation purposes, including IP addresses and timestamps.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Publish verified detention reports to help communities stay informed
- Contact reporters to verify or clarify report details
- Moderate content and prevent abuse of the platform
- Improve our services through anonymized analytics
- Connect affected families with legal and community resources
How We Protect Your Information
We implement security measures to protect sensitive information:
- Reporter contact information is never displayed publicly
- Detainee visibility settings (anonymous, partial, public) are respected
- Data is stored securely using Convex with encryption at rest
- Admin access is restricted to verified moderators
- We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Convex: Database hosting and real-time data sync
- Vercel: Website hosting and privacy-focused analytics
- Google OAuth: Optional sign-in for moderators
Data Retention
Report data is retained indefinitely to maintain historical records of detention patterns. You may request deletion of your reporter contact information at any time. Detainee records marked as false reports or duplicates may be archived but are not permanently deleted.

You have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
